What "specialized" actually means for vapor barrier installation at our company — not a marketing word, a set of specific practices.
Technicians understand vapor drive direction, dew point calculation, and mil-thickness requirements specific to your climate and application.
Trucks carry sample barrier materials at multiple mil-thicknesses so you can see and feel the difference during the estimate.
Quotes are based on square footage and mil-thickness recommended for your specific space, given in writing before installation.
Wall applications use dimple-board or specialty basement membrane rated for vertical below-grade application, not repurposed floor material.
Each service below is scoped specifically to vapor barrier installation, not a generic waterproofing menu with the name swapped in.
Barrier is run up piers and foundation walls, not just laid flat, since ground moisture can wick up unsealed vertical surfaces just as easily.
Dimple-board membrane creates an air gap against the foundation wall, allowing incidental moisture to drain down to a collection point instead of wicking into finished wall assemblies.
A vapor barrier is only as effective as its seams and edges — gaps at walls, piers, or overlaps undermine the entire system's performance.
Support piers in a crawl space are common weak points where ground moisture bypasses an otherwise well-installed floor barrier.
Where vents are being sealed as part of a full encapsulation approach, we install rigid vent covers integrated with the barrier's edge termination.
Four steps, start to finish — from your call to a sealed, tested vapor barrier system.
Assessments are typically scheduled within a few days across Mount Royal, NJ.
You'll get a text confirmation with your arrival window.
Pricing is itemized by square footage, mil-thickness, and any additional detailing like pier wrapping or vent covers.
Installation is inspected for complete coverage and properly sealed seams before the crew considers the job finished.
